Dream Workshop

Welcome to an exclusive four-day workshop with the internationally highly acclaimed director and performance artist Charlotte Engelkes and sound designer Willi Bopp!

These two collaborators are some of the most renowned within the North European performance art scene. Engelkes herself works interdisciplinary, moving between dance, theatre, performance art and opera, the result being her own famous personal style on stage.

Her artistic style is characterised by humour, surprises, lavish costumes and ingenius craziness. Engelkes has a wonderful stage personality – colourful, imaginative and utterly fabulous. – Stora Teatern, Stockholm

Content of the workshop

Theme: Dreams – as a tool in creating performative content.

Very much alike all the playful ways Charlotte enters a new collaboration, this workshop will be all about incidents, instincts and methods in how to find, unfiltered and adventurous ways to create performative content, and processing and executing the material in relation to the theme “Dreams”.

The workshop is interdisciplinary, where you are your own tool, fit for research based on improvisation, solo and group work in performing situations. Dreams and beliefs are strong subjects, and music designer Willi Bopp will improvise, compose and musically support the work.
